On Friday, a tragic incident occurred in Pimpri-Chinchwad where three workers lost their lives due to asphyxiation while laying optical fiber cables inside a sewer. This information was confirmed by local police.

An official reported that the incident took place in the Nigdi area. The deceased have been identified as Dutta Holare, Lakhan Dhavre, and Sahebarav Girsep, all of whom were contract workers. According to the police, they descended into the sewer for inspection purposes, during which they succumbed to asphyxiation.

The authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
